The UVAHS Medical Laboratories provide advanced laboratory services in licensed and accredited facilities for clinical and research needs. Facilities are available to support clinical testing, blood bank, autopsy services, technical expertise and consultation, instrument evaluations, and validation services. Laboratory tests that are done for research outside of routine patient care can be ordered in Epic and directly billed to a research account. Please familiarize yourself with Epic research registration and billing procedures to understand the process. Also, refer to the Medical Center Grant Pricing tool for applicable research fees.
